EPIRB Shore Based Maintenance

The complete EPIRB overhaul and battery replacement service (Shore Based Maintenance) is carried out in accordance with the IMO MSC-Circ 1039 requirements. This procedure must take place every four years on all EPIRBs embarked on Italian units. For all other EPIRBs installed on other foreign units, the revision interval is fixed every five years. The company is authorized to carry out tests according to the requirements imposed by the IMO regulations and issue a paper SBM certificate.
